Gratitude & Giving

November 2026

As we head into this season of gratitude and giving, put a little Geneva Lake hometown flavor into your Thanksgiving Holiday plans. Start with a butcher-counter conversation, make time to catch up with friends before Thanksgiving, and turn holiday shopping into an afternoon of discovery. Here’s a locally focused guide to bringing those three ideas together.

Local Meat Markets: Start at the Butcher Counter

Lake Geneva Country Meats

At 5907 State Road 50 East, Lake Geneva Country Meats has Thanksgiving planning covered with fresh Midwestern turkeys, including whole birds, bone-in breasts, and pasture-raised turkeys from Alden Hills Organic Farms in Walworth. Turkey pickup begins November 19, and the shop is closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 26.

Wilson Farm Meats in Elkhorn

For another area butcher stop, head to Wilson Farm Meats at 406 S. Wisconsin Street in Elkhorn. Call ahead about seasonal availability, special orders, and holiday hours before making the trip.

The Owl Tavern

Built in 1908, the Owl Tavern embodies the traditional north woods tavern serving cold beer, great drinks and fun times in a welcoming rustic setting. W4120 Southland Rd, Lake Geneva.

Small Business Saturday: Give Your Gift List a Local Twist

Skip Black Friday, and mark Saturday, November 28, for Small Business Saturday. The Geneva Lake West Chamber’s 2026 calendar lists Hometown Glow that day in Fontana, Williams Bay, and Walworth—as a fun holiday option if you want to extend your shopping beyond Lake Geneva.

For a downtown Lake Geneva outing, use the Downtown Lake Geneva events page or Visit Lake Geneva’s website, as a starting point. Browse Cornerstone Shop & Gallery at 214 Broad Street, seek vintage finds at Circa at 237 Broad Street, or stop at The Candle Mercantile at 870 W Main Street for a scented gift. Clear Water Outdoor at 744 W Main Street is another stop to consider for the outdoor enthusiast on your list. And so many more! Shop local this holiday season. 💙

A November Worth Savoring

This season of giving, try a simple local-first approach: order your holiday centerpiece with care from Tommi’s Garden Blooms, Pesche’s Green House, or Breezy Hill Nursery, reconnect with friends before the feast, and explore a few storefronts in Lake Geneva, Williams Bay, Fontana and Walworth, when gift shopping begins. Whether you’re hosting, visiting, or enjoying a quiet holiday weekend, make room for the people and places that give your November its own flavor.

Wishing you and your family a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love, gratitude, and cherished moments.

With heartfelt wishes from the Coulman Family.
